With the Fiji Pearls looking at securing their place in the Netball World Cup next year, their main challenger will be Tonga Tala, who they will meet in their second Vodafone Oceania Netball World Cup Qualifier tonight.

The Pearls and Tonga both have one win each after beating their opponents PNG and Samoa respectively.

Pearls captain Alisi Naqiri says the team capitalised on the things they have been learning for the past weeks and is grateful that there is a good blend of experience and newcomers in the team.

The Fiji Pearls will need to finish in the top two to secure their spot in next year’s Netball World Cup in Cape Town.

Fiji will meet Tonga at 7.30 tonight and PNG Pepe will take on Cook Islands at 5.30 this afternoon.

Samoa is on a bye.
