The 2025 Parliament Calendar has been passed in Parliament this morning with Parliament to officially open on the 24th of February, 2025 and the 2025/2026 national budget announcement is on the 27th of June.

According to the Leader of Government in Parliament, Ro Filipe Tuisawau, the 2025 calendar was accepted and authorised by the Parliamentary Business Committee.

He says they had also agreed that in the event that some of the sittings needed to be adjusted or re-adjusted immediately, this would be brought before Parliament for further consideration and the main reason for this is to allow for some flexibility in Parliament.

According to Ro Filipe, Parliament will officially open on Monday, 24th February, and the President’s address will be debated for 2 weeks from March 3rd to the 14th.

Parliament sitting are as follows:

- 28th April to 2nd May

– 2nd June to 6th June

– Budget Announcement: 27th June

– Budget debate: 7th to the 11th July

– 4th August to 8th August

– 29th September to 3rd October

– 3rd November to 7th November
