The Fiji Men’s Rugby 7s team will meet France in the 2024 Olympic Games Rugby 7s Competition final after thumping Australia 31-7 in the semi-finals.

Australia scored the first try of the match through Ben Dowling in the 5th minute to take an early 7-0 lead.

Fiji responded through a converted try to Joji Nasove to tie the game at 7-all at halftime.

Fiji scored another three tries in the second half through Iosefo Masi, Kaminieli Rasaku and Selestino Ravutaumada.

Meanwhile, France made a huge comeback to beat South Africa 19-5 to book their spot in the final.

The first half saw no team scoring any points as both teams defended their try lines desperately.

The second half saw some light as Tristan Leyds scored the first points of the match, giving the Blitzbokers a 5-0 lead.

The French side responded with a double from Rayan Rebbadj to put them in a 14-5 lead.

Jordan Sepho put the nail in the coffin as he crossed over for the host's final try.

Fiji will take on France at 5.45am today.
