Paradise Beverages' belief in the Wearing Fiji project is key to creating spaces to exchange fashion knowledge.

This was highlighted by Wearing Fiji co-founder, Samson Lee.

He says they are proud to partner with Paradise Beverages as sponsors of their designer mentoring program.

He adds their student designers can gain an insight into starting a fashion business and most importantly, drawing on the knowledge of Fiji’s established designers.

Lee says without this kind of support, they may not have the ability to get the expertise or reach required to progress this work.

Wearing Fiji student designer, Litiana Vere says she is excited to be back for the second year and to have Fijian companies like Paradise Beverages back their labels by providing start-up money for the brands, means they are investing in Fijian-made.

Shane Pickering who is Wearing Fiji’s third-year student designer, says the program has provided an opportunity to explore his passion.

He says what's different is they have mentors, from designers to communications experts, to social media marketing.

Paradise Beverages General Manager, Mike Spencer says Paradise Beverages is delighted to continue its support in providing development opportunities for the students of the program.

He adds they have been a long-time partner of the fashion industry and this mentoring program has the potential to create a higher-performing fashion industry in Fiji that they are proud to support.

He says they have always supported Fijian Made and have always had a strong focus on supporting and developing up-and-coming local talent whether that be in sport, music, arts or fashion, and will continue to do so.

Wearing Fiji will take place on Saturday 10th September at the HFC Bank Stadium.
