Panthers begins 2022 NRL season with a win

Fiji Bati hooker Apisai Koroisau scored a try for the defending NRL champions, the Penrith Panthers in their 28-6 victory over the Sea Eagles last night.

The Panthers scored a total of five tries through Izack Tago, Stephen Crichton, Jarome Luai, Koroisau and Liam Martin.

The Panthers were relentless and comfortably covered the loss of star half Nathan Cleary to start their premiership defence in style.

Ethan Bullemor scored the lone try for the Eagles.

In other NRL matches, the Raiders will meet the Sharks at 7 tonight, the Broncos will face the Rabbitohs at 9.05 tonight, the Roosters will take on the Knights at 4pm tomorrow, the Warriors will play the Dragons at 6.30pm tomorrow and the Wests Tigers will meet the Storm at 8.35pm tomorrow.
