Members of the Pakistani community in Fiji have donated $5,000 and more than 500 kilograms of clothes to assist relief efforts after Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

The cash donation will go towards the Prime Minister’s Trust Fund for the purchase of more food rations for affected Fijians.

A representative of the Pakistani community Saud Minam says it is always a pleasure to assist the Fijian Government, especially for worthy causes such as relief efforts for TC Yasa.

Permanent Secretary for Disaster Management David Kolitagane says the donation will be used to purchase food, water and other items which will then be taken to affected communities.
