Pacific leaders have officially endorsed the Ocean of Peace declaration, an initiative to commit the Blue Pacific to remain a zone of peace, free from conflict, and guided by unity, respect and cooperation.
The declaration was led by the Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka at the 54th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Rabuka highlighted that the declaration not only protects the Pacific’s ocean and people but also strengthens the region’s contribution to global peace and security.
The two-year process reflects Pacific solidarity, with leaders affirming their right to peace and their determination to safeguard culture, livelihoods, and sovereignty for future generations.
