Team Fiji continues its impressive rise at the Pacific Mini Games in Palau, with swimmers Kelera Mudunasoko and Samuel Yalimaiwai both securing their second gold medals in the 100 metres breaststroke finals last night.
Mudunasoko also set a new national record of 1 minute 12.01 seconds in her event.
Both swimmers won gold in the 50 metres breaststroke event on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Akanisi Latu and Merewalesi Roden also won gold in the para table tennis women’s team event after defeating Tahiti 3–2.

In other results, Don Younger claimed bronze in the men’s 100 metre breaststroke while Tolu Young finished second in the men’s 50 metres final.
Tahiti continues its lead with 33 gold, 17 silver and 6 bronze followed by Samoa with 9 gold, 2 silver and 9 bronze while Fiji is third with 6 gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze.
Fiji was previously sitting in eighth place.
Coming up today is the men’s and women’s 100 metres freestyle, 200 metres butterfly, 1,500 metres freestyle and the 4×50 metres mixed freestyle relay competition will start at 11.30am.
