PM urges parents and guardians to stay involved in their children’s education

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is urging parents and guardians to stay involved in their children’s education and ensure that they are keeping out of trouble.

With the start of the 2022 academic year today, Bainimarama is reminding students to be kind and respectful to each other and also to teachers.

He says schools are not a place to bully other students.

Bainimarama adds that COVID-19 protocols will be in place in schools.

The Prime Minister has also thanked teachers for their dedication to the education of students, as some of them took the teaching materials to the doorsteps of their students.

Term 1 of the 2022 academic year will be from today to July 8th, Term 2 will be from July 18th to October 6th and the final term will begin from October 17th to December 16th.
