Minister for Health and Medical Services Doctor Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu and Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has expressed confidence in the performance of the Minister for Health and Medical Services Doctor Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu.

Rabuka highlighted this to fijivillage News when questioned about Ratu Atonio’s performance as the Minister.

When we raised that people are still concerned about the state of the health sector and infrastructure, the Prime Minister says the Minister is responsible for the breakdown in the health sector.

He further says they are collectively responsible for upgrading the health infrastructure and are trying to do that by improving the provision of adequate medicine for the people of Fiji.

While responding on the current Ministers' assessment, the Prime Minister says they are doing fine at the moment.

Rabuka adds that any new health threats are beyond their control.
