Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has just confirmed that they are announcing a million-dollar reward package for the victories of our Fiji 7s Men’s Team and the Fijiana Women’s Team.
Bainimarama says rugby does not just let us forget our troubles, it inspires us to overcome them.
He says the victories of our Flying Fijians and Fijiana have inspired us all.
And the Prime Minister also confirms that the reward includes a house for National 7s Captain, Jerry Tuwai.
Tuwai is the first and only rugby player to have won two Olympic gold medals.
The Fiji Men’s 7s Team won gold while the Fijiana won bronze in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
