Overseas teams to play in Fijian Cup Nines tournament in Nov

The FNRL has announced it is endorsing the inaugural Fijian Cup Nines tournament scheduled for November this year.

The tournament will be featuring top locally qualified clubs up against regional clubs from New Zealand and Australia over two days at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park.

There is a prize pool of over FJ$50,000.

Organisers say the tournament will bring economic activity to Sigatoka and Fiji as international players and officials will be accommodated at the Shangri La Yanuca Island Resort in the Coral Coast.
