Over 119,000 tourists have visited Fiji since our borders opened in December last year and Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says travellers are showing how much they missed us.

While speaking at the opening of the new Sun Centre Business Hub in Nadi, Bainimarama says we welcomed over 46,000 visitors last month alone which brings the total arrivals this year to more than 95,000.

He says this should give every Fijian the courage to hope again and Fiji is back in business.

Bainimarama says the COVID-19 pandemic brought the largest nations to their knees, sending us back decades in tackling poverty, gender equality, education, youth unemployment and disability rights.

The Prime Minister says no epidemic is just a health issue.

Bainimarama adds the $15 million Sun Center Business Hub project serves as a testament to the market confidence of local businesses.

He says he is proud of the Government’s friendly investor policies that have helped create more jobs, opportunities and investment.
