Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s coach Osea Kolinisau

Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s coach Osea Kolinisau says our team’s standards have dropped, and he will be focusing on lifting players' fitness as they prepare for the upcoming HSBC Hong Kong 7s next week.

Kolinisau says the standards have dropped in terms of tackling, defence and keeping pressure on the opposite teams.

The Olympic gold medallist says he has been seeing a lot of individual play from players in previous tournaments, and he wants to bring back the playing style Fiji is known for.

Kolinisau also highlighted that they are aiming to win the Hong Kong 7s as this will be the last Hong Kong 7s tournament held at the iconic So Kon Po Stadium.

Fiji will open their Hong Kong 7s campaign against Australia at 9.30pm next Friday, they will then take on Canada at 12.33am next Saturday and play France at 5.43pm next Saturday in their final pool match.

The Hong Kong 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
