Operations suspended at the Sawani Border for 24-hours to allow for decontamination

No activities will be conducted at the Sawani Border in Naitasiri today as it will be closed for decontamination and upgrade works.

In a statement, the government says the border will be closed for a period of 24-hours, beginning at 4am today and ending at 4am tomorrow with all activities conducted at the border suspended during this period.

Only emergency medical referrals will be allowed through the border.

For urgent essential services, people are to use the Qiolevu Road in Sawani to gain access to the Navuso Shopping Centre.

The government says the resumption of operations at the Sawani Border will be announced accordingly.
