People who need to enter Oceania Hospital in Suva will now need to wear personal protective equipment.

The Hospital says this is to ensure there is minimal COVID exposure.

It says PPE kits will be sold at the screening and triage area at $15.00 each.

A PPE kit contains one face mask, one face shield, one body cover and one shoe cover.

Oceania Hospital says if another person is permitted to accompany the person who should be admitted, that person should wear the provided PPE’s.

The Hospital says with the increasing number of COVID positive cases in Fiji, especially in the greater Suva area, this is a precautionary measure to protect their stakeholders at large.

They say there will be regular decontamination of the premises as a precautionary measure, and this is not to cause alarm but a proactive approach in managing the sanitizing process.

Oceania Hospital is urging everyone to make the effort to get vaccinated which currently is provided free through the Health Ministry.
