OFC Men’s Beach Soccer: Fiji falls short against PNG 8-6 in first match

The Fiji National Beach Soccer team started their OFC Men's Beach Soccer Nations Cup campaign on a low after losing 6-8 to Papua New Guinea in a closely contested opening match in the Solomon Islands this afternoon.

Fiji, being the much experienced side, were expected to have good match, however tournament debutants PNG caused the upset of the day.

Adriu Nabose, Steven Dean, Navu Willie and Rajneel Singh scored for Fiji.

Fiji will play host Solomon Islands in their next match on Thursday.
