26,000 students have enrolled at the University of South Pacific so far with numbers expected to increase as USP finalizes their enrolment numbers for 2019.

USP Vice Chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia says they have several more enrolment drives throughout the year adding that the number they have so far has exceeded last year’s enrolments.

He also says it is not just about getting record number of students but also about delivering quality and making sure that USP is able to really help its students.

When questioned on whether USP has the capacity to cater for the growing number of students who have enrolled at the university, Professor Ahluwalia says that they are committed and constantly monitoring their classroom sizes and where they need staff.

He adds that with an increase in the number of students comes the growth of resources which can be deployed appropriately.
