The grounds of Nukuvuto in Tailevu are expected to come alive with excitement as schools from the Eastern Zone gather for the Deans' quarterfinals and play-offs.

Eastern Zone President Solomoni Naitini says this year’s competition has reached a new level, with schools that did not initially qualify for the quarterfinals and play-offs now stepping up to fight for a spot in the national Deans quarterfinals.

Naitini also highlighted schools such as Bau Central, Saint Vincent, Sila Central, and Muaniweni U18 for the Raluve competition as examples of institutions showing remarkable determination.

He says this is a positive sign of sporting growth among schools that are rarely exposed to national-level competitions.

Meanwhile, Queen Victoria School will take on Ratu Kadavulevu School in the U18 final at 3pm at Nukuvuto Ground in Tailevu.

This match will be a double-header for the U18 teams, as they battle for both the Eastern Zone final title and the prestigious Lutubula Trophy.
