There is no formal complaint against Amy Perrett of Australia who was the referee in the first semifinal between Fiji and New Zealand this afternoon.

Perrett is being widely criticised for the unfair way she officiated the match.

She is being called out on social media by Fijian fans for missing to pick up and make calls on missed knock-ons by New Zealand, a possible yellow card for a tackle around the neck of a Fijiana player and a tackle without the ball stopping a possible try by the Fijiana.

When asked if the FRU was making a formal complaint against the referee , FRU CEO John O'Connor said the team was only focused on the bronze medal match against Great Britain at 8.30 tonight.

The Fijiana 7s team lost to New Zealand 22-17 in extra time in their semifinal match.
