It was a joyous moment for nine recipients as they received much needed assistance to support their business, which was an investment of more than $30,000.

Anaseini Marama, who runs the Perfect Cleaners Enterprise, says words can not express her gratitude towards the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their assistance.

Marama says this will help her to extend her business by employing others and being able to provide for her family.

She further says she will make the most out of the grant provided.

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru, says youth grant is an integral part of the Ministry to encourage and motivate individuals and youths clubs.

Sakuru says the aim is to empower youth through engagement and promoting values.

He says the assistance will allow the recipients to become job creators rather than job seekers.

The recipients received items such as cooking utensils, cleaning equipment, groceries, and kitchenware.

The recipients were approved by a selection panel and the Minister for Youth and Sports.
