Tourism Fiji CEO, Brent Hill says it is very exciting for the Fijian tourism industry after the news that Australia is set to reopen its international borders from November.

Hill says Australia is a very important source market for the Fijian tourism sector as it provides close to 40 percent of the market.

Hill told Legend FM News only a few months ago these kinds of projections were something that was far off.

He further says the discussions with the stakeholders have been fruitful.

Hill also says that the government has been really willing to put forward some fantastic plans to safely reopen.

He adds the critical thing is that they want to keep the Fijian population safe and also provide for the tourists.

Hill further says they are working on promotional materials to entice people to visit Fiji when our borders open.
