Newcomers Nasau Central Secondary School is one of the 32 teams that have qualified for the quarter finals of the Fiji Secondary School Rugby League competition that will held at the Kings Charles Park in Nadi this Saturday.

Nasau Central is located in the interior of Ra and has made the school, their family and fans proud by qualifying for the quarters this weekend.

Fiji Secondary School Rugby League President Ifereimi Naisoro says Nasau Central is a new school in the competition stepping its way to the quarter finals, and will meet Nabua Broncos in the U15 grade.

General Secretary Dan Vakamoce says Vodafone Fiji and Pherrus Financial Services are the two sponsors of the event.

He says they are very fortunate that Pherrus Financial Service has stepped in to sponsor the teams' jersey for the girls' division, which they will be wearing this Saturday.

He says 25 schools from the Western and Southern Eastern Zones will battle for the Pherrus School Girls Trophy.

Vakamoce says the total sponsorship for the rugby league is $200,000.

The quarter finals will start at 8.20am where Ra Roosters will take on Ratu Latianara Cowgirls in the girls’ division, Sigatoka Methodist Storm will face Nasinu Panthers and Ba Methodist Saints will meet Lelean Bati in the U15 grade.
