The Fijian Elections Office would like to advise members of the public to visit its Voter Services Centre, should they need to have a new voter card or a voter replacement card done.

Acting Supervisor of Elections Ana Mataiciwa says they have been receiving numerous enquiries from members of the public on how to get new voter cards done and how to replace lost voter cards.

She says they understand that most of those visiting the FEO headquarters are school leavers and have not registered for a voter card at all.

The Acting SOE is reminding the public that they are there to assist them in any way possible and will ensure their requests are addressed accordingly.

She says that voter card services are not available at the FEO Headquarters located at 59-63 High Street, Toorak in Suva and all voter card services, new registration, card renewal and update of card information are available at the FEO’s three Voter Services Centre’s around the country.

Mataiciwa says for new registration and update of card information, members of the public are advised to take with them original or certified copies of their birth certificate and a valid photo ID, while for renewal of voter card, members of the public will need to produce their valid photo ID at any of their Voter Services Centre.

She says for those who just turned 18 years old and do not have any form of valid photo ID, they will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is a registered voter.

Mataiciwa further says that the services provided at the Voter Services Centre are free of charge and members of the public do not need to pay for anything.

She adds services provided at the Centres are voter card and voter services, the operating hours are from 8.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday and they are located in Scott Street Suva (Old Fiji Visitors Bureau Building), Vitogo Parade Lautoka and at the Legal Aid Building, Jaduram Street, Labasa
