Cuvu residents can expect an increased level of service delivery after a new vehicle was handed over to officers manning the Cuvu Community Post.

While handing over the vehicle, Deputy Commissioner of Police Itendra Nair has reminded officers that maintaining the trust and support of the public could only be successfully achieved if they remained loyal and honest in the conduct of their work.

Nair says this also includes the proper utilization of resources such as the vehicle.

He says government understands the demands placed on policing by providing mobility assets and the onus was on officers to ensure the vehicles are used for its intended purpose of serving the community and nothing else.

Nair also acknowledged the support of community leaders and adds policing would be challenging without the support and partnership of members of the community.
