Fuel and gas prices will change from tomorrow.

The price of unleaded fuel will go up from $2.46 to $2.54 per litre, an increase of 8 cents, the price of diesel will go up from $2.05 to $2.06 per litre, the price of premix will go up from $2.08 to $2.15 per litre, an increase of 7 cents, the price of kerosene will go down from $1.63 to $1.55 per litre, a decrease of 8 cents.

The price of a 4.5kg LPG cylinder will go up from $13.78 to $15.19, an increase of $1.41 cents while the price of a 12kg cylinder will go up from $36.74 to $40.51, an increase of $3.77.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says the increase noted in local fuel prices for September are due to unfavourable movements noted in international prices

It says the LPG price has been impacted by the movement in Saudi Aramco Butane Contract Price, the international freight rate and the exchange rate.

FCCC adds Fiji is directly impacted by the world market prices for both refined oils and LPG and as such, any changes to the world market prices will be reflected in fuel and LPG prices in Fiji.
