New employment opportunities expected in the North after HFC Bank agrees multi-million dollar deal with the Damodar Group

HFC Bank CEO Rakesh Ram says an investment of this magnitude will play a critical role in the development and improvement for the North through the generation of new employment and business opportunities.

New employment opportunities are expected to be created in the North after HFC Bank signed a multi-million dollar agreement with the Damodar Group, to finance the Damodar City Labasa project which is earmarked to stimulate economic growth in the North and support the overall economy.

HFC Bank CEO Rakesh Ram says an investment of this magnitude will play a critical role in the development and improvement for the North through the generation of new employment and business opportunities.

Ram says as the only Fijian Bank, HFC is here to support the needs of local businesses and entrepreneurs that invest in the growth and advancement to the quality of life for all Fijians.

Damodar Group Chairman, Dayanand Damodar says they are delighted to join hands with HFC Bank for the construction of the Damodar City Labasa project.

He says the Damodar City Labasa development is twice the size of the Suva Centre and a soft opening of the Phase 1 of the project is expected by November this year.
