Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and SODELPA MP Niko Nawaikula

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama says the word of the most reckless member of the week belongs to SODELPA MP Niko Nawaikula who called to scrap the iTaukei Land Trust Board while Nawaikula says TLTB has moved far away from its core role of acting in the interest and benefit of the landowners.

Bainimarama says Nawaikula’s call is more than insane and the most serious threat to the iTaukei.

When contacted, Nawaikula says the TLTB is now acting in the interest and benefit of the Government and the tenants.

He says they now need many trust corporations to look after the interests of indigenous Fijians.

The SODELPA MP says he is making this call with the background of having 17 years of experience with TLTB and and as a solicitor specializing in native land and indigenous rights.
