Pratiksha Chirag Contractor says she learnt from her mother who is a mehndi designer in India.

She says she has been perfecting her art for the past 20 years and does not need to look at others work or sit down and design before putting mehndi on hands.

Contractor says this is the first time she has won such competition.

She says she has no plans of turning her art into a business for now as she is taking care of her two daughters.

Listeners were to send a video or photo of them designing mehndi on the Navtarang or Radio Sargam Facebook pages.

The 10 best designs were chosen and they got a chance to showcase their art live at Rups Mega Complex Nakasi today.
