The Nausori Chamber of Commerce is now assisting the Commissioner Central's office by making arrangements for vaccination venues.
Secretary, Rajan Prasad says these include community halls, temples, churches and schools. Prasad is urging the people of Nausori to help fight the pandemic by following COVID safe measures.
Only essential businesses like supermarkets and pharmacies are open in Nausori Town.
When questioned whether the Chamber has worked with the businesses to solve any rent issues or negotiate reduced amount of rent since non essential businesses are closed for a month now, Prasad says they have limited access to non essential businesses and the landlords.
He says there are currently no reports of staff layoffs.
