We are committed to building an education system that is modern, inclusive, and effective for all Fijians.

Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro says the review of the Education Act 1966 is a major step towards modernising the education system to meet the needs of today’s students.

He says last week he met with key stakeholders involved in the review of the Education Act 1966 and had discussions on important issues, such as the inclusion of Year 13 students in the revised legislation.

The Minister says discussions also focused on coordinating the Education and Examination Acts to improve the efficiency of the system.

He says they are moving towards the next step of this review, which includes a nationwide public consultation.

He emphasised that the Ministry would like to hear the views of students, teachers, and communities all over the country so that the new Education Act meets everyone's needs.
