Fiji's inclusion in the Nations Championship 2026 reshapes our rugby landscape and elevates our game at every level from grassroots pathways to professional development.

This was shared by Fiji Rugby CEO Koli Sewabu after the announcement today.

Sewabu says the platform accelerates our growth, strengthens our systems, and provides a clear pathway for future generations to thrive in elite rugby.

He says this is not an invitation, it validates Fiji's potential and positions Fiji to inspire the world with our passion, resilence, and uniquely Fijian style of rugby.

Sewabu adds the Championship is expected to transform Fijian rugby across all levels with consistent competition against tier one nations enhancing Fiji's squad depth, resilience, and tactical sophistication ensuring Fiji remains competative on the global stage.

He emphasizes that this provides a global showcase for Fijian talent allowing players to display their skill, creativity and athleticism to audiences worldwide whilst reinforcing Fiji's reputation as a rugby powerhouse.
