The Nasinu Town Council is calling on the government to thoroughly review the Litter Act and implement stringent laws that will be effective.

Council Acting CEO, Felix Magnus says illegal dumping is prohibited, and residents are urged to remain vigilant against drive-by dumpers in their areas.

He says this morning, a resident sent the council photos of an alleged illegal and irresponsible roadside dumper at Bulei Road, where a vehicle was captured on camera dumping rubbish at the roundabout.

Magnus stresses the government should enforce strict penalties for individuals who continue to engage in such behaviour.

He is also urging residents to capture such incidents on their phones and report them to the Nasinu Town Council so that appropriate action can be taken.
