Nasinu Secondary U17 dominates Southern and Eastern Divisional Rugby League Competition

Nasinu Secondary School's Under 17 team has emerged as the top contender in the Southern and Eastern Divisional Competition of the Fiji Secondary School’s Rugby League.

Nasinu Secondary edged Naitasiri High School 14-12.

Team captain, Uliano Logalaca Radrodro says they faced some weaknesses such as defence and ball handling, however, they will improve on these areas before the game next Saturday.

The President of the Southern and Eastern Zone, Alifereti Tawake says after today’s game, they will finalise the team who will compete in the Zone quarter-finals for the U17 and U19 categories.

The quarter-finals will be held next week.

Tawake also highlighted some schools had cancelled their participation for today due to injuries.

In other U17 results, Marist Brothers High School defeated Noco Secondary School 24-10, Namosi Secondary School edged Dudley High School 14-6 and Nabua High School triumphed over Lomary Secondary School 14-8.

In U15, MGM thrashed Saint Vincent College 14-0 and Gospel High School defeated Ratu Sukuna Memorial School 18-0.

In U19, Bua College beat Nabua Secondary 14-10.

Meanwhile, U19 Ratu Kadavulevu School will face AOG at 3.10 this afternoon at the Saint Marcelin Ground.
