Nasinu Rugby today received a $7,000 cheque from their sponsor Ram Sami and Sons limited as part of the financial sponsorship by the company.

This is part of the $40,000 annual financial sponsorship which is part of a 5 year deal.

The Nasinu women’s rugby team was also present during the ceremony with the Ranadi Cup which they won earlier this year.

Following the win, the Nasinu women have also advanced to the Marama Cup Competition.

Director of Ram Sami and Sons Prashneel Goundar says they have been in support of the team since 2016, and this milestone achievement from the Nasinu Rugby Union is something they are proud to be a part of and is also a stepping stone for women's rugby.

Coach Tomasi Katonivualiku says he has been part of the team since 2019 and it has been a challenging journey and he is very proud of the girls for their achievements.

Katonivualiku adds that five of their girls will be part of the Fijiana Drua team, and he is very proud of them.
