Police are searching for Charlie Brown of Narere Stage One who is believed to be missing at sea near Nukulau Island.
Brown went out with a friend to fish near the island at around 5pm Tuesday.
Police say it is believed that sometime after midnight, Brown fell into the sea after their fiberglass boat was struck by lightning.
Brown's friend managed to swim ashore and lodged a police report at around 3 yesterday morning.
A search and rescue team has been deployed to the area.
