Jona Nareki is expected to be up against Sevu Reece when the Highlanders take on the Crusaders in the Super Rugby Aotearoa this Saturday.

Reece who has been impressive this Super Rugby season has been the number 1 choice for head coach Scott Robertson on the wing.

Reece scored the first try for the Crusaders when they defeated the Hurricanes 39-25.

Reece’s impressive outing for the Crusaders last season earned him a place in the All Blacks side to the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Nareki signed with Highlanders last year and this is his first Super Rugby season.

He has also been impressing the Highlanders coaching staff with his strong defence and speed skills that were seen when he was with the New Zealand 7s team.

The Highlanders who are currently in third place in the competition will be looking at improving their standing this week.

The Highlanders will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday while the Chiefs will face the Hurricanes at 3.35pm Sunday.
