Due to the remote location of Naraiyawa Village in Namosi, residents are fortunate enough to have a dispensary that will assist them with minor injuries with the help of the village nurse.

Kalesi Conilawe who resides in the village says with support from Think Pacific NGO, they were able to establish the dispensary, which now provides first aid assistance in case of injuries.

Conilawe says the village requires a Health Centre because they need to pay $40 for transportation from Naraiyawa to Navunikabi Village, where the nearest health centre is located.

She adds when there is no nurse available at the Navunikabi Health Centre it requires them to travel to Navua Hospital which costs them $300.

Conilawe is urging the government to establish a health centre closer to their village, as the lives of the residents should be a priority.
