Nalumisa calls on Fijians to adopt sustainable waste practices

To help address the growing waste crisis in Fiji, Minister for Local Government Maciu Nalumisa has called on Fijians to adopt sustainable waste practices.

While officiating at the launch of the I Recycle Hub, Nalumisa says this new initiative by the Pacific Recycling Foundation aims to address Fiji’s growing waste management challenges.

Nalumisa says waste management is an important part of the country's development and it is something every Fijian must prioritize.

The Minister says this initiative has brought together key stakeholders, including government representatives, community leaders and environmental advocates, all united in the mission to tackle the country’s waste crisis.

Nalumisa is urging local councils and ministries to lead by example and champion waste management initiatives.
