Former Fijian Drua Women’s player and North Queensland Cowboys Women’s wing Vitalina Naikore

Former Fijian Drua Women’s player and North Queensland Cowboys Women’s wing Vitalina Naikore is excited and proud to play in front of her family tomorrow when the Vodafone Fiji Bulikula take on Cook Islands Moana in the Pacific Women’s Championship.

Naikore signed a 3-year deal with the Cowboys Women’s side in May last year and has become a mainstay on the wing, scoring three tries, including a double in the team’s 31-20 win over the Knights at Belmore.

The 24-year-old says playing alongside her sister and in front of her family is exciting, and she will give her all in tomorrow’s match.

She says transitioning from rugby union to rugby league was challenging as rugby league is more faster.

Naikore is advising youths to be disciplined in everything they do if they want to achieve great things.

The Bulikula will host Cook Islands Moana at 6pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium.

The Vodafone Fiji Bati will take on Cook Islands Aitu at 8.10pm tomorrow.
