A Nadi based florist says although other businesses are suffering due to COVID-19, their business has flourished because a lot of people are not able to visit their loved ones in Fiji and are instead sending flowers to let them know that they are in their thoughts this Valentine's Day.

Genesis Flowers Director, Nancy Murti says they have imported roses from New Zealand for this year's Valentine’s Day and have made more than 50 deliveries this week.

She says this is the busiest time of the year as a lot of people want to do something special for their loved ones.

Murti says they have delivered flowers and gifts as far as the US, Suva and Tavua.

She says their most special delivery was to a woman who received a large box of gifts and flowers.

Murti adds she also sources her flowers from a vendor at Nadi Market and shared her imported roses with her because she knows that her business has been affected and red roses will make her bouquets extra special.
