It was an emotional moment when about eight members of the Nabua Nari Sabha gathered to prepare dinner for 40 residents from the Father Law Home in Lami.

Assistant National Secretary of Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji, Gyan Prabha says they have been preparing meals for the residents for the past 3 years.

In an interview with fijivillage News, Prabha says the members every year raise funds to prepare meals for the residents.

She says it’s heartbreaking to witness the residents longing for their children, waiting for them in hopes that they would show up one day.

The Assistant National Secretary further says parents make a lot of sacrifices for their children’s upbringing however, children are unable to look after their parents when they are at a vulnerable stage of life.

Nand adds that they are planning similar programs for the future.
