A non-governmental organisation, For Good Reasons has resorted to selling pot plants and seedlings to raise money to help the most severely affected people in the greater Nausori area.

Founder, Shajit Bala says they feel it is good to give something back to those who will be giving them donations to help the ones that have lost jobs.

Bala says they have recently assisted 15 families in Wainibokasi with food packs and are now looking at assisting some families in Nadali and Vuci South. She says most families in Nausori are now resorting to backyard gardening.

She says they are mostly targeting labourers or those that were working in garages and are facing major difficulties to put food on the table for their families.

Bala adds they are also creating awareness in various areas in Nausori on the need for people to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

For Good Reasons had earlier assisted 76 families in Lakena with food packs and special needs like medicines and adult diapers.

You can contact Bala on 8613968 if you want to help the NGO in its work to assist the needy in Nausori.
