NFP calls on Fijians to choose wisely as their decision will determine Fiji’s future

NFP calls on Fijians to choose wisely as their decision will determine Fiji’s future

NFP Leader, Professor Biman Prasad

The Leader of the National Federation Party Professor Biman Prasad says the next six weeks will be one of the most critical periods in Fiji’s history and people must now think clearly and carefully because the decisions they take and choices they make will determine what kind of Fiji we will bequeath our future generations.

According to Prasad, another four years of FijiFirst government will destroy our democracy and reduce the nation to a two-men dictatorship.

While welcoming the announcement of the general elections, Prasad says this dictatorship will close down all dissenting voices, news media, NGOs and opposition political parties.

He says they will build useless monuments like the $1.5 billion roads, burdening the people with more debt.

Prasad adds that just as it has for more than 8 years, the FijiFirst government will ignore the people's struggles with the cost of living, health systems, education and housing.

The NFP Leader says only a new start, with a new People’s Alliance-NFP government, can take Fiji away from the politics of fear and division.

He says the people of Fiji now have the chance to vote in a government that brings the country together and leads with vision, humility and compassion.

Prasad is calling all Fijians, if they love Fiji and care for their community, to make plans now for the 14th of December, as they have the power to change the course of Fiji’s history.
