NFA Officers assist in the cleaning up of Tavua Town

Clean-up has commenced in Rakiraki, Tavua and Ba Towns after it was underwater, following the heavy rain experienced over the last few days.

In Tavua, officers from the National Fire Authority of Fiji, are assisting businesses in removing debris and mud from their shops.

The Tavua Town Council team is also on the ground, assisting in the cleanup of the town.

In Ba Town, the Ba Town Council team is hard at work, cleaning the Ba Market to ensure a clean and safe environment for their vendors and community next week.

In Rakiraki Town, the Town Council team is working with other agencies to remove debris from the roads and excess mud.

The three towns were closed off to the public and motorists last night after it was underwater due to the heavy rain experienced over the past few days.
