Young sprinter, Josese Murimurivalu says he has his sights set on eventually breaking Banuve Tabakaucoro’s 100 and 200 metres records.
Speaking to fijivillage Sports after helping Suva 1 win the boys division in the Fiji Primary Schools Tuckers Ice Cream Games, the 13-year-old said he is grateful for the support of his family, especially his father who continues to guide him.
Murimurivalu, who was born in France, claimed gold in both the 100 and 200 metres events.

His father, former Flying Fijian Kini Murimurivalu, watched proudly from the stands as his son delivered two strong performances.
Josese says he is confident he can continue improving his times next year as he works towards securing a place at Queen Victoria School.
Suva 1 won the boys title with 10 gold, 14 silver and 6 bronze medals.
