The Ministry of Multi-Ethnic Affairs is exploring the possibility of assisting in the rebuilding of the Muaniweni Crematorium site through its grant program that aims to preserve, retain, and maintain such structures that serve a large number of people in the community.

Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs Charan Jeath Singh says he is aware of the recent fire incident at the site in Naitasiri, and it's heartbreaking that it not only includes infrastructure loss but also attaches emotions as this will affect the final ritual ceremony.

Singh further says through the Director of Multi-Ethnic Affairs, they will carry out its assessment soon and will provide an inspection report to examine the extent of the damages and determine the necessary steps for rebuilding the site.

He says he has been informed that it's the only crematorium site in Naitasiri that serves a large number of people where they perform the final rituals for their loved ones.

If you wish to assist, you can contact President Naren Prasad on 8400607.
