The two men allegedly involved in a robbery at a pharmacy in Moti Street in Suva on Friday night have been remanded.

23-year-old Harry Smith and 24-year-old Jese Vuniase are charged with one count of aggravated robbery and appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Smith resides in Nadera, and Vuniase resides in Rewa Street.

The case has been adjourned to the 19th of this month.

Police had said the two men were armed with a knife and a chopper, and forcefully entered the pharmacy, threatening the staff, and stole mobile phones, cash, and a laptop.

As soon as the report was received, the Samabula Police Operations team secured the possible escape routes and successfully arrested the two suspects.

The stolen items, along with the knife and chopper used in the robbery, were recovered.
