A mother is seeking justice after losing her son, Thomas ‘Waisea’ Vosalevu in an alleged hit and run accident along the Queens Road at the Muni Ratnam Junction in Sigatoka on Friday morning.

Vosalevu’s mother, Mereoni Lesi says her 23-year-old son had a lot of dreams and wanted to construct a home for himself before he turned 50.

She says they had their ups and downs but her son cared for people and wanted to spend more time with his two children.

Lesi says her son spent most of the time with his cousins who are prominent musicians, Nicky Beddoes, Billy T and their band members.

Police continue their investigations into the accident.

Police had earlier said Vosalevu, who lived in Korotogo Back Road was last seen by another man who was on his way to drop a passenger in Korotogo.

They said the man offered the victim a ride which he allegedly refused.

It is alleged that after a while, a 35-year-old driver from Malaqereqere saw the victim lying motionless in the middle of the road.

Police say the driver reported the matter to police and officers rushed the victim to the Sigatoka Hospital where he passed away an hour later.

They are requesting anyone who may have information regarding the case to call Crime Stoppers on 919.
