To ensure there is a high recovery of TELS collection, the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Service has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service to strengthen its enforcement on loans collection.

TSLS Chief Executive Officer Dr Hasmukh Lal says this MOU will build on information sharing and they will also be venturing into enforcement to ensure there is a clear and coordinated approach in terms of TELS recovery.

He says they want to make sure they expand in terms of enforcement so there is a high recovery of the loans.

FRCS Chief Executive Officer Mark Dixon says the Tertiary Loans Scheme is a fantastic initiative as it creates great opportunity for every young Fijian to gain an education and skill that sets them up for life.

Dixon says they are delighted to partner with TSLS on this scheme and its a positive sign that government agencies are working together.
